Olkiramatian reto women's group
The Olkiramatian Reto Women's Group was established in 2007 and currently has a membership of over 200 women. The women own and run Lale'enok Resource Centre in Kenya's south rift, gaining some monetary benefit in the form of camping fees. Through a committee of eleven elected representatives, the Reto Women use these funds to support female livelihood development. Apart from the sale of their beadwork (which Daraja is selling) to visitors of the Centre, the women also have a girl-child bursary program, where they pay the school fees of disadvantaged girls from primary school all the way through to secondary. Thus far, they have been able to support four girls, but are hoping to expand the program.

Maji moto group ranch women's group
The Maji Moto women have organized themselves around a beadwork collective to generate income for themselves and their families. Using beadwork sales to empower and uplift one another has brought the community a real sense of pride and accomplishment. Through beadwork sales, the Maji Moto women can fund school fees for their children, and find an alternative source of income besides cutting lumber for charcoal. Daraja will be hosting a benefit concert on November 16th, 2016, the proceeds of which will go to supporting these women and their amazing work.
